The 65th Board Meeting of the European Students’ Union will be held in Zagreb, Croatia, from 27 November to 2 December 2013.
The Board Meeting is the highest governing body of ESU, where all the 47 member unions are represented. These meetings are organised every half a year in order to shape ESU’s policies and work. The Board agrees among else on its plan of work, statements, external motions and policy documents. More importantly, it elects eight to ten members of the Executive Committee to take care of ESU’s daily work and to implement the agreed decisions and policies. Each country is given the value of two votes at these meetings.
The Croatian Student Council will this time co-organise the board meeting. A seminar on public responsibility and commodification of higher education will be held in the run-up to the Board Meeting. An expected date of arrival for the participants is 27 November and departure date 2 December 2013.
