The EFFECT project produced a feasibility study on how teaching enhancement can be promoted in the most efficient manner at the European level. Launched at the 2019 European Learning & Teaching Forum, it presents and discusses approaches for pedagogic staff development already explored in European higher education institutions and systems. It also proposes European approaches to support and enhance learning and teaching.
EFFECT facilitates the exchange of experience in the professional development of university teachers. It draws upon the good practice of European and international institutions and organisations and probes their transferability in other disciplinary, institutional and national contexts.
The European Students’ Union has been involved in the initial research and highlighted current problems from students’ perspective.
EFFECT consortium produced a list of ten principles which together present a proactive attitude towards a rapidly changing environment of higher education. These principles are aligned with many of ESU’s political positions.
