The Student Participation Without Borders network (STUPS) held its second transnational meeting on 22 October. During this meeting, a large national and international agenda has been agreed, designed to involve the main European stakeholders.
The meeting was scheduled to take place in Linz, Austria. However, due to the current mobility restrictions of COVID-19, the meeting took place online. Almost twenty people linked to university management and student representation from Austria, Belgium, Spain and Portugal participated in the transnational meeting.
Throughout this meeting, different models of national and local Student Rights Charters were presented. The members of the STUPS network are still developing on this input. These letters are pioneers in Europe and will allow students to easily know and exercise their recognized rights.
The different partners of the network shared their different national strategies to complete the development of local student participation indexes, which are the first step towards a model that allows comparing student participation at EU level. With this objective, an open and interactive virtual event will be held on 20 January 2021, which will be attended by experts of recognized experience in this matter.
