Up to five traineeships to be offered

June 29, 2013

BRUSSELS – Eight organisations and institutions have declared their interest in hosting interns in a second call for participants in the SiS Catalyst project. These applicants are based in Kenya, the United Kingdom, Turkey and the Netherlands.

All the applications from these interested host organisations will be reviewed in the beginning of July with the priorities of the SiS Catalyst project in mind. The European Students‘ Union (ESU) will in the following launch a new call for students that would be interested in pursuing a traineeship at one of these organisations. A maximum  of five internship opportunities will be offered.

The SiS-Catalyst project aims at delivering science in society activities for children through media, festivals and schools as well as to bring these activities to children in an urban context. ESU hopes that students will find the ideas presented by the host organisations to be interesting and expects to receive dozens of applications once the call for students will be published.

The first internship starts on 1 July

A lot of preparation has taken place since the beginning of the SiS Catalyst project and the first call for internship was finished in June. The host organisations have finally selected the interns that they consider to be best suited to take on the tasks that they were requested to do. ESU is happy to announce that the first internship will start as part of the project on 1 July in Innsbruck, Austria.
