Last year on the night of the 14th of April 276 schoolgirls were abducted by Boko Haram. Only 57 of them managed to escape their predators, the fate of the remaining 219 girls is still unknown. This act of violence and violation of human rights caused a worldwide outrage and initiated many campaigns calling upon the authorities and demanding actions. The Nigerian authorities put some tokenistic  efforts in it, without any results whatsoever. All other attempts to rescue the girls were in vain, none of the girls were found. Today the 219 girls still missing seem to be forgotten by the media and society.
The European Students‘ Union will not allow this tragedy to be relegated to memory and hereby renews its initiative, adopted on the 66th Board Meeting in Vienna, Austria demanding that the authorities #BringBackOurGirls.
