STOP VIOLENCE IN UKRAINE

Dear Mr Head of the Mission of Ukraine to the European Union:
The horrific events of last night in Kyiv are appalling and shocking.
We, an umbrella organisation of 47 national unions of students in 39 countries – the European Students’ Union – urge you to stop violence against civilians in the streets and to switch to a proper transition to peaceful and sustainable Ukraine. We encourage you to stop the repression against students and youth, who should be able to express their opinions and views freely.
European Students’ Union believes in the rule of law, democracy and human rights in Ukraine.
