ESU calls for an immediate solution to EU budget for 2013
|
BRUSSELS - The
European Commission presented on Friday 23 November a new draft proposal
for the budget of the European Union in 2013, which 'protects'
financial commitments for the Erasmus Mundus and Lifelong Learning
Programmes. The European Students' Union (ESU) requests that the
European Parliament and the Council deal swiftly with the proposal so
that any uncertainty concerning the funding for European education
policies can be erased.

QUEST participants exchange views on a quality concept for education

- Students' representatives from all over Europe, policy makers
and experts in the area of higher education and quality assurance are
expected to participate in a consultation conference organised as part
of the Quest for Quality for Students project (QUEST) in Valletta,

- Tallinn University turned into a hub for enthusiasts about the
quality assurance of education from 22 to 24 November 2012. Around four
hundred people with experience ranging from public policy-making and
governance in the area of higher education or quality management to
students gathered for the European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) to
share their views on whether quality assurance of higher education, as

Education Ministers reaffirm the importance of student-centred learning

- Delegates of the European Students' Union (ESU) participated in the
second regional meeting of Ministers of Education on the implementation
of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) held in Strasbourg on 22
and 23 November 2012. ESU presented students' view of the national
qualifications frameworks, referring to Bologna With Students' Eyes 2012
